Prior to resigning, he corresponded with his father, brother as well as C.R. Das. The day, 22 April, 1921, on which he resigned from the I.C.S. was the day of destiny, a critical turning point in his lifestyle. He hurried back to India having a view Bose headphones to take his location while in the national struggle that was then in full swing. He reached Bombay on 16 July, 1921 and around the similar afternoon had a long interview with Gandhiji at Mani Bhavan. The Mahatma received him together with the characteristic hearty smile as well as the conversation started out at the moment. Subhash desired to receive a clear comprehension with the specifics of his plans. He was not pleased using the replies of Gandhiji. He felt that "there was a deplorable lack of clarity while in the plan which the Mahatma had formulated and that he himself didn't have a clear plan of your successive stages of campaign which would bring India to the cherished aim of freedom"
Gandhiji advised him to meet Deshbandhu C.R. Das on reaching Calcutta. Subhash had already written to C.R. Das from Cambridge that he had resigned in the I.C.S. and decided to devote his whole time to political work. Subhash Bose met that man quickly, had a hearty and extended conversation with him and later on C.R. Das grew to become his political Guru. Subhash says: Through the course of our conversation I started to experience that right here was a man who knew what he was about ¡§C who could give all that he had and who could demand from Bose head other individuals all they could give - to whom youthfulness was not a short coming but a virtue. Through the time our conversation came to an end my thoughts was built up. I felt that I had observed a leader and I meant to abide by him.Subhash Bose's return to Calcutta to join the freedom movement also meant a return to home and household.
He had disclaimed any interest in marrying and owning his very own family members. Here yet again he followed his spiritual mentor-Swami Vivekananda. He stayed with his elder brother Sarat and his family. Subhash was also pretty close to C.R.Das and his wife Basanti Devi who looked on him as her personal son. He didn't enter politics as an unknown volunteer. He was a recognized figure given that his school days up to his resigning in the I.C.S. So, he was given 3 assignments by C.R. Das. The very first assignment of Bose in the Congress was the Workplace with the Principal on the Nationwide School, and as well as it he was also produced the Chief from the Publicity Congress Committee and the Head of the National Volunteer Corps.
Das gave him also the duty of maintaining contacts with the revolutionaries. A number of his fellowmen had been, naturally, did not prefer to deliver such significant responsibilities to a fresh comer like Subhash Chandra Bose. But C.R.Das did not cared for them and expressed his firm conviction in Subhash, saying, "I can see by way of persons. Bose will certainly not belie my expectations. He will likely be the best guy to try and do justice to the work".Subhash was active within the non-co-operation activities with the Congress Party. These actions included boycotting of European goods and institutions, spinning with Charkha, Bose head phones creating, on the Punjab and Khilafat grievances, furthering of communal harmony in between Hindus and Muslims. All these actions meant to bring Swaraj nearer.
